Who else immediately jumped on board?

Ahhhh..... my heart is happier in the summer.    It just is.

I know we'll be having the full on August back to school panic before we know it, but who else is in total summer mode?
Long days, early morning runs in the sun, kids bikes everywhere, going with the flow, and soaking it all in.

Ummm....who else got themselves some of this?

Salted Caramel and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough?!?   Oh my!

I have a whole lotta Meal Replacement Shake in this life, and the salted caramel is hands down my favorite of all time.

Rich flavor,  not the least bit chalky, and did I mention 25 grams of protein?
It kept me full all morning,  which means I immediately ordered more.

I have yet to try Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough so am anxious to hear reviews from you cookie dough peeps.

I have a feeling the "mug cake" options with this are gonna be awesome.

Summer also equals super fun events in which my favorite donut in the world  (Der Dutchman long john) was presented in unlimited quantities, amongst other things.    Zoofari, you're a whole lotta fun.

You make my friends and I do things like this....

And eat things like this....

Which is why I can only handle you once a year.

Who else is beyond pumped for September 26th?!?!?

I'm "this close" to creating a legit countdown calendar.    I can't get enough of this show and love that we all cry, laugh, and weep together... week after week.

I know the bloggy postings are slim these days, and the Insta (Advorunner) has kinda taken over.
If you don't already, come find me on the Insta.

Keep on soaking up the summertime goodness!

I'm Back!

I've certainly missed you!

I'm still on the Insta (Advorunner) but obviously the sad little blog has taken a real back seat to life.

Poor bloggy.

If I'm being honest, I have no real excuse.

Except for...

-a full time job, (Hospice)
- a part time job (Advo)
- kids that need to be driven to gymnastics, lacrosse, soccer, and other various kid-related shenanigans on the regular.
-a big ole #Runnerdog that apparently also needs some loving and a run here and there
and then of course...
-my own need to run all the miles, lift a few weights, and get my yoga on.

Turns out all of these sporting activities and life in general requires clean laundry and a stocked pantry.

Who knew?

Nothing riveting, just life.   However, I miss this blog a whole lot and really, really, really need to make it more of a priority again.

So let's start now, kay?

Current life highlights...

This pic that I posted on the IG sparked a whole lot of questions...

Snail Slime!

It's a thing.   And we may or may not have our own secret club.

Here's how it all began....

My friend Lauren's friend Samantha appeared out of nowhere with her skin looking completely off the chizzaine 'doe.

Lauren launched an immediate investigation to find that the secret protocol is...

 Korean skin care.

Snail Mucin!   Aka Snail Slime!

Now before you throw up in your mouth, I promise you it's not as horrific as it sounds.
I've been hot to trot on the regime for about 5 weeks and have fallen in love with the whole thing.

We may or may not even have our own private Facebook board where my  #snailsisters and I post questions, pictures, and reviews of tried and true products.

Amazon sells pretty much everything we need.   And even Target is getting on board!   I immediately assumed my line up would cost a million bills.   You guys.. it's cheap!!!!!      Amazing, isn't it?

Here is my current regime....

I realize this looks like a full time job in itself and you're all saying "no wonder she doesn't have time to blog... she's smearing snails on her face all day"

However, I don't use every product every day.    I'm still learning and playing but I spend about 3 minutes in the morning and 10-15 at night.   No big.

Want to test the waters?

I recommend you read the post that Lauren wrote to get started.    If you are wanting to truly get on board, shoot me a message and I'll add you to our FB group.

So there you have it.    Can't wait to hear what you guys think.

Other things I've been up to...

Running half marathons with my favorite people.

Finishing said half marathon,  throwing stuff in a suitcase, driving at high speeds to the airport,  and immediately catching a plane to wine country.

This obviously lead to a whole lot of
wine, cheese, bread, dark chocolate, belly laughs... rinse and repeat...
with more of my favorite people...

Immediately needing a huge detox upon my return to real life...

And now it's May.   The kiddo sports schedule is in high gear and it's basically time to panic about the school year coming to and end.   Ya feel?

Every day is pretty much a 3 Sparks a day kinda day these days.
   Again.. ya feel?

Speaking of... I am LURVING the new Orange Rehydrate.     I mix with a packet of Mandarin Orange Spark and it's truly a match made in heaven.

=   True Love Always...

Not to beat a dead horse... but as you know....  never pay full price for your Advo goodies.

Become a preferred customer for $19 dollar bills before you do anything.   Not only will you get some freebies to try and sample but you'll get 20% off anything you ever order forever and ever... including the beautiful combination above.

Updates all around

The January's   are gone!

We made it, friends!

How did you survive?  Do tell!

I may or may not have cheated a little....

And gone to visit the southern Florida sun...

And may or may not have did daily yoga in the glorious sun on the patio...

And this was may or may not have been my running scene...

Oh and this happened...
Was amazing.

In summary,  those "January's" didn't have a chance.

Let's talk about running...

Who is training for what???

I need to know.

I'm roped into a couple spring half marathon's which I'm not mad about...

Xenia Half Marathon is on April 9th.   Don't ask why or how I'm doing this race.  It's a long comical story but will be fun for sure.   Same day packet pick up?    $35 entry?    Crazy friends also running?
In summary, my hands were tied.

Of course we also have the Cap City Half Marathon  on deck for April 29th.
The Cap.
If you have been reading the blog for more than a second, you know I love this little (big) race.
Champagne at the finish?     Again, my hands are tied.

Who has tried the new Slim????

Confession..... How on earth have I been using Advo products for 7 years and never tried Slim????
When the new formula was released, accompanied with all of the online raves,  pretty much forced me to give her a go.

Similar to Spark in terms of energy and mental focus but more of a thermogenic / appetite control component.      Zero jitters.    Just goodness.    Promise.
Initially, I  was kinda all "Yeah, whatever...."
About 30 minutes after, I was online ordering a second box.
I hate that I was skeptical but sometimes things sound too good to be true.
However, those people at Advo continue to know what they're doing.  They also never stop amazing me.

Several people online are doing a Slim Down Challenge.    Only ONE product needed.  Clean eating.

If you are interested in joining, shoot me a message and I'll get you hooked up.  Contains a recommended food plan and recommended daily activity.    Looks pretty darn simple though.

Your Preferred Customer discount with get you 20% off anything you ever order, as well as a bag of goodies, including samples of Spark.   All for $19.    It's that easy.

In fact, I will throw in a little incentive....

Between today  and February 20th....

Complete your Preferred Customer sign up, place a minimum $75 order, and get a FREE box of Spark from yours truly.    Pick a fave...any flave... and I'll have it in the mail that week.

Not a contest.  A guarantee.  Who doesn't want free Spark?

What else have we been up to?

Decorating copious amounts of Valentine's Day cookies...

Teaching my mom how to use Snapchat.  This all clearly resulted in belly laughs.

Yes, we're too old for Snapchat.  No, we don't care.

I've also been obsessed with reading.

Recent reads...

Love a good memoir.

I've been reading Glennon's blog for a zillion years.     She's controversial but she keeps it real.

What are you reading?     Do tell.

Have a fab Sunday!

The January's.... And how we're gonna beat 'em.

Who has 'em?   "The January's" that is.

Don't know what I'm talking about?    Consider yourself lucky.

For the rest of us....

Dark mornings, dark evenings, holiday fun is long gone,  the kids are caged animals, the pants are feeling tight,  fatigue, insomnia...   throw in a cold or flu ('tis the season) and we've got ourselves a case of the the January's.

But guess what?     We're in control of those January's.

We are.

So let's turn it all around.    Today.    Life is too short to just let the January's do their thing.
  We've got this, friends.

Let's do it.

1.   Move the body.

Sorry.  Nothing earth shattering here.      We all know that moving the body produces serotonin.   It also releases those feel good endorphins that we all crave.
Endorphins alone combat stress and depression.
Improved memory, improved focus.... shall I go on?
None of this even has to do with the cosmetic or improved physical appearance aspect of regular exercise.
That, my friends, is just an added bonus.
 So seriously.
  Give yourself 30 minutes.
As in ErrrrDay.
Start today and commit till February 1st.
Give us 16 days.      I'm pretty sure you'll keep going.   Pretty sure you'll be happier too.

2.  Acts of Kindness

Nothing boosts the spirit like a little selfless act of kindness for another human.
Do SOMETHING kind every day.
It doesn't have to be fancy, cost money, or even take much time.
Just. do. something.

**Give a compliment.   Even better?  Give a compliment in front of others.   Immediate mood boost for everyone.

**Leave a note in your kiddos lunch box telling them the reasons they're amazing.   (my monkeys absolutely LOVE this little surprise and I'm immediately happy when I take the time to do it.)

**Let someone go ahead of you in line at the grocery, etc.

**Reach out to an old friend.    Better yet, send a card.  Who doesn't love good, old fashioned, unexpected snail mail??

**Take an annoying task or chore off of your partners to do list.

**Offer to pick something up at the store for an overwhelmed friend or neighbor.

**Give someone a genuine "thank you."

The options are endless.  Really.

You get the idea.    A daily act.   It's infectious.

3.  Fun

Have some.
Always have something fun on the calendar to look forward to.    Always.
Getting together for lunch with a friend.
A trip.
A massage.
Anticipating a good book.

Even when you don't want to go have fun and would much rather stay in your warm cozy house and it's January.   Get out there.    I promise you won't regret it.

4.   Fill those nutritional gaps

MNS 3 and Omegaplex are my God sends.   Truly.
Everything you ever need in the MNS 3 strip.    Vitamins, minerals, probiotic, appetite control, energy...  MNS is everything.

Since we're talking about the January's... lets talk about the benefits on our mood.
Studies show everything from decreased anxiety, decreased depression, and an improvement in overall sense of well being.

We essentially ARE everything we put in our bodies.   The good, bad, and ugly.

If you're ready to take the plunge on either of these,  get yourself signed up as a preferred customer BEFORE you order.    20% off anything you ever order,  several flavors of Spark to sample, and some other goodies.   All for $19.   No catch.  I promise.

5.   Kill a nagging task and create some order.

When we're in the midst of the January's, those nagging tasks become even more annoying, ya see.

Commit to ONE nagging task a day.

Clear off the pile on the desk that's been annoying you for days.
Donate the stuff that's cluttering your house (and mind).
Make the dentist and doctor appointments that you've been procrastinating.
You guys get my drift.   Take action and do something daily.

6.  Be Nice to YOU

Go easy on yourself.
We ALL need some self care.
Get your yoga on.    Journal.  Spend 10 minutes a day of quiet before the days chaos erupts.
Take time to breathe.

And when we screw up, snap at the kiddos, eat the cookie...  we must be nice to ourselves.
 It's over.
Start anew.

At the end of the day.... our time is short... no matter how you look at it.
Be happy.
The only person that can truly make that happen, is you.

January's, be gone!!!
