Thursday Thoughts!

* So these neighbor kids of mine are totally questioning my ability to do a "Freeze!"   If you follow me on the Insta (Advorunner), you know that 7 year old taught me my skillz in the living room just last week.    So....I go to drive said neighbors to dance class last night and they're all "Umm....Are you sure you can really do a freeze?"  I'm all "Say What!?  Don't make me prove myself, kids!  Cuz I'll do it!"   Then they look to 7 year old for further info and 7 year old has my back, but geez!   This is the mom that  did a perfect Roundoff last summer just for you fools.  Don't make me do a freeze in the middle of the street the night of Halloween (in a wind storm, no less) just to prove myself again.    Because you know I'll do it.  I will.

*Pretty much obsessed with all of the messages I've received from those of you that have located the infamous lipgloss that I told you all that you needed and then couldn't find a back up tube for myself.   You guys are legit awesomesauce.

*So have you guys ever gone through the Starbucks drive thru and anonymously paid for the person behind you?  If you haven't, you need to immediately.   I try and do this every few weeks and every single time it instantly makes me happy.    And obvi it makes the anonymous person happy.  Because really, who knows what is really going on in anyone's life at any given moment anyway?   Maybe that person is having a crappy day, just got horrible news, is dealing with health issues of themselves or family.    And what if this little anonymous gesture has given them a little spark of happiness in their day?   And if they aren't having a bad day or dealing with anything horrible, well then you've just made their good day even better.     Oh and not to mention, the drive thru employee even reaps some happiness and positive energy.   They get to be the deliverer of good news to the person behind you, ya see.   Again, do this #stat.

*Why do people like that "What Does the Fox Say?" song???   Riddle me that.  I'm so perplexed.   At first I thought it was just a song that teenagers were supposed to like.   However, I'm noticing quite a few of you in my own age demographic and perhaps even one up, who know waaaay too many words. (Said the girl who loves 1D and Miley Cyrus...okay nevermind) 

*So,  tomorrow is gonna be legendary... Cuz I'm introducing my running mama's to Schwarma for the very first time for lunch.   Obvi, this will be bloggy worthy.   But yeah, a little lunch send off for the NYC marathon girls and really, Schwarma made perfect sense.    And somehow I've convinced them to drive from the bubble in which we live, in the middle of the day, in order to experience Schwarma as it should be experienced.    Yes, that'll be twice for me this week if you're counting.  For those of you who have inquired on the name of this restaurant in which this Schwarma is's called Lavash. You're welcome. 

*And speaking of songs, OMG does that Bruises song by Train  make anyone else so super sad?    I die.  I want Train guy to get back together with that high school girl so very badly!    Do it, ask her out.    You know you're dying to.   Pretty sure she's gonna say yes.  Do it now.

What I Ate Wednesday!

First off... look at my new, cute WIAW button!   Made 'specially for me by my homegirl (whom I've known for at least 9 years but never met in real #craycray is that?!)...  It's not even fair.  

Anyway, who's ready for some WIAW?

Let's see...

Spark, Catalyst, and my MNS (3) "before breakfast" pack when I woke up at an ungodly hour, per usual.

 I've cycled back onto MNS 3 and I'm LOVING it.     I really think when we take a break from specific products for a few weeks and cycle back on, they seem so much more effective.  Loving my MNS right now.

Breakfast was made in the Tupperware "egg maker thingy" and was pretty delish.

I threw in 2 whole eggs, 1/2 cup of egg whites, turkey, green pepper, a ton of spinach, red pepper flakes, sea salt and ground pepper.   I cooked that for 3 minutes.   Added some cheddar and cooked for another 30 seconds.   A blob of salsa and it's a done deal.

I also had my "with breakfast" MNS packs.

As I was getting ready for work, I had a green tea delivered by the hubs.  Mainly cuz I'm a granny like that.  

Around 10:30, at a work meeting,  I found about 3/4 of a protein bar in my bag.   Am I the only person who always has a random protein bar (sometimes whole/ sometimes half eaten) in their bag?  I can't decide if I ate this because I needed entertainment or if I was really hungry. 

At any rate, loving these Think Thin bars.  For realz.

On the way to lunch, I had the last of the MNS pack, which is obvi the "before lunch" pack.  And then lunch....  You guys, I'm real sorry that I ate Schwarma again and am giving you nothing new to look at.  However, it really couldn't be helped.  I hadn't had it in over a week and I swear a magnetic pull just took over and made me go there.    I will say that I got something "slightly" different so you guys can't be all that mad.

Here we have the small portion of Chicken Schwarma (be still, my little heart...) and a side of hummus.   See that corner of the bread basket?   We legit have to have that removed upon arrival.   Mainly because it's always a bad idea to have it sitting there looking at you if you don't want an extra 700 calories of empty carbs.  Unless it's your birthday.  Then you can have it.
 But yeah, my friend got the normal Schwarma salad  that you guys have seen 100 times and I will admit that I was secretly #totesjelly.  However, I shook things up and took one for the team.  Mainly for the bloggy.  #itsaroughlife

I had a hot Mandarin Spark as I finished my workday at home.    Do you guys know about hot orange Spark?  If you don't, you need to become best friends with it immediately.  It's the best in the fall and winter.  Promise.

 3 more Catalyst before I hit the gym for a shred sesh.  Still pretty full of Schwarma so no Muscle Gain shake, which is my pre workout snack if I'm working out in the afternoon. 

Workout-  30 minutes of speed work on the tready followed by approx. 30 minutes of some pretty speedy sets of weights.  I think I hit every body part.  

And tonight was one of those nights where every person that lives here ate a different dinner.   Certainly, we can't be the only ones.

I ended up whipping up a pretty fab tuna/ avocado/ egg/ chickpea salad.

This consisted of: 
1 can of tuna
1 avocado
2 boiled eggs
1/2 can of chick peas
Sea Salt
Crushed Black Pepper
Onion Powder
Greek Yogurt Dressing (about 2 tbsp)

So yeah,  yum.  I put this over spinach with a side of shredded carrots, light balsamic vinaigrette, and a few pieces of crustini.  Normally I would have Wasa with this.  However, we were out and I was desperate for something crunchy and carby so this fit the bill.

So What Wednesday!!

*So What if I'm fairly certain that Jym Ganahl is gonna ruin neighborhood Halloween yet again?   I guess he's paying me back for perfect marathon weather???  That's really the only explanation.  

*So What if I have 6 weeks to Vegas, but who is counting?!   Bright lights and chaos, I really miss you... and me love you long time.    

*So What if I have 4 friends running in the #ING #NYC #Marathon and I can. not. wait. to. stalk. them!?   Yes, this isn't typically a race where PR's happen.  However, these peeps are super well trained and I just can't wait to see what happens.   Yikes!!!!   I'm just pumped.  

*So What if somehow my schedule be getting #craycray up in here again?   It just is.  I thought we solved this problem.  

*So What if it's not even November 1st and I'm legit already ready for the pool to reopen?   I'm cold!   Plus, I miss Summer Boardwalk.   And I really need the sun.   I just do.

*So What if I am totally torn on the new release by 1D?    I'm sorry 1D, but your "sound" is getting just a little too mature for my liking and I can't be having that.

*So What if I've started making my own facial Vitamin C peels?    What?!?   I'm practically a Doctor and I swear it's the bee's knees.   "Recipe" to come soon.

So What if I got scared and went to pick up another Revlon Super Natural Lip Gloss yesterday and two places were OUT!?  Totally out!  Did all of the 614 run to buy this gloss?    If so, we're all gonna be lookin' fine.

Things You Need...October Edition!

It's been a minute.  But back by popular request...things you need!

1.   Have I really not talked about the Lululemon Vinyasa Scarf up in here?   Oh Em Gee.

So I have two and they are life changing and you will basically make them part of your fall/winter "uniform" the second you become a proud owner.  I promise you that.

So they have a zillion snaps and you can basically wear them 100 different ways.  And every time you'll get a zillion complements and random people will say "where'd you get that scarf?!"   Not even kidding.    Ladies, you need this in your life imeed.

2.   The first of my two new lipgloss obsessions.   Firstly we have Bobbi Brown Aubergine.   Now in all honesty, I pretty much lifted this from my mom when I was home for my high school reunion.   Ya see, my mom is a total product junkie like myself.  Apple doesn't fall from the tree.   Anyway, every time I'm home, I snoop through her bathroom with a fine tooth comb, examining her latest finds and hoping she'll tell me to take something.   Anyway, I found this beauty and cut right to the chase busting out with " Can I please have this!?"   Obvi she said yes and it's been love at first gloss since.

This is THE perfect plummy, browny, non-sparkly, sophisticated lip gloss ever.   Now, my primary concern is that I tried to link you guys and did not find anywhere online that has it in stock.  Which is a) gonna make me hoard the tube that I currently have and b) want to drive at dangerously high speeds to the mall tomorrow to see what in the french toast is going on here.   But yes, this gloss is AMAZING.  And it doesn't go on nearly as dark as this photo would lead you to believe.

3.   Essie Demure Vixen .   Seriously LOVE this.   It's a perfect neutral and such a great purpley/ grey/ beige, if you will.   It has a teeny bit of sparkle which I am NEVER typically a fan of.  However, somehow it really works with this polish and looks way modern.   You are gonna need this stat.

4. Old Navy Rockstar Jeans.     I will wholeheartedly openly admit that I used to be the. biggest. jeans. snob. ever.   Not even kidding.  If it wasn't designer and fitting me like a glove, and needing hemming, tailoring, etc., oh and at least $200, I wasn't biting.   UNTIL, I discovered ON Rockstar jeans.   You guys, I swear these have saved my jean life.   And saved my bank account.  These fit amazing.  And are CHEAP.  I probably have 10 pair in rotation.   They are around $30 full price but are usually on sale for some odd reason.   So if I wear them for one season, no big.    The stretch is perfect, the pockets are totally plain, which I love, and they come in a zillion washes, colors, lengths, etc.  Get there and try them on, imeed.   Now, I'll warn you, the sizing can be a bit weird, depending on what wash, color, etc. you are dealing with.  I probably have 3 different sizes in these so you are definitely going to want to try them on.  But yes, you need them.

Oh look and celebrities wear them too.  #nbd. 

5.  Revlon Super Natural Lipgloss.   Obsessed.   So remember how we went to CVS the night before the marathon to buy Smartwater and makeup?   Well, my dear friend basically demanded that we all buy this life changing lip gloss.  I figured anything to sidetrack me from the marathon would be good, so in the basket it went.   Holy Crap.  This reminds me SO much of Bobbi Brown Nude (that I've blogged about before), yet it's legit 1/4 of the price.   And pretty much looks amazing on top of any liner or lipstick.  Not even kidding.   Perfect Nude.  Perfect.

6.  Another thing I can't believe I haven't talked about in these parts.   Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle Cream SPF 15.   I discovered this stuff at least 10 years ago.  However, sometimes I stray because I think I need something "fancier" and more powerful.  That's what we do.     Yet, I ALWAYS come back.  Always.   This stuff is legit.  Especially for the price.   We're talking $12 here friends.   A decent amount of retinol, spf 15, which I realize isn't a ton but I typically layer this, non comedogenic, and oil free.   Basically all of my problems are covered.   Honestly, I love this stuff.

There you have it.   So do yourself a solid and go ahead and get yourself at least 6 of these items immediately.   You're welcome.

Sunday Sentiments and a Fab, Clean 24 DC Friendly Recipe!

Who is ready!?

-7 mile run
-3 mile run and biceps, triceps, back, shoulders, abs
-Taught a fabu class at Title Boxing Club.  I have taken the past two weeks off from teaching as a result of marathon tapering as well as the actual marathon.  OMG, it really felt so good to be back!

The Highlights:

Gearing up for Halloween event #1.   And we are already bursting at the seams with candy up in here.   
Yes, I realize 7 year old looks straight up like a child bride.   However, she reports that she is a snow/fairy/angel of some sort and she's happy as a clam so we're going with it.

Just a bunch 'o neighborhood foooo's.

#Runnerdog got a major wig busting.  He's a mess, that #RD.

What else?   Stumbled upon a super fun Halloween party.   Yeah, we weren't dressed obvi,  but that didn't stop us from thinking we owned the place.  And the music situation.   Nothing unusual here.  

Oh and the monkeys made some serious "masterpieces."

Yeah, caramel apples topped with every sugary sprinkle concoction in the house.   #diyabeetus  Right here, right now.  

Oh and some majorly fun tailgating went down for the OSU/ Penn State game.

And today I made the most fabulous...

Spicy Pumpkin Turkey Chili

I found a few recipes on the world wide web for pumpkin chili and kind of merged them all together and came up with this.   Everyone in my house kind of turned their nose up at the idea  when I announced what I was doing.   However, let's just say that we pretty much have NO leftovers.   Legit.

Yes, I love cilantro.  What can I say?


2 tbsp olive oil
1 chopped onion (I used red)
1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 can chopped green chilis
1 large garlic clove
1 lb ground turkey
1 can diced tomatoes
2 cans red kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
2 cups pure pumpkin
4 tbsp's chili powder (I may have even used slightly  more)
2 tbsp cumin
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
dash of cayenne pepper (mine was a heavy dash cuz #thatshowiroll)
stevia and cinnamon (optional)

Top with cilantro
Cheese and sour cream is optional if you aren't cleansing and have some calories to spare.


1.  In a large pot, sauté olive oil, chopped onion, garlic, both peppers, and all spices.  You want this hot so that the onions are pretty much caramelized.

This took me about 15 minutes-ish.  

2.  Add in thawed ground turkey.   Brown this into the spice mixture.    After meat is browned,  add in beans, pumpkin, and tomatoes.   Let this cook on medium for about 15 minutes and then cover and bring to a low simmer.  I let this simmer for about 3 hours before I face planted myself in.

3.  I added a packet of stevia and a sprinkle of cinnamon, which is totally optional but I can't seem to do anything without cinnamon these days.   At any rate, it. was. awesome.

And honestly, the perfect little fall meal.

So there you have it.  Make this at some point this week.   No thanks necessary.

Dear Self,  Get it together and call the dentist.  Seriously.   Do it.  Call.   Everyone in your house needs an appointment.   Just do it.    You'll be so happy when the appointments are made.   Do it now.  Oh but wait, you can't.  It's after 5.   Monday.   Do it on Monday.

Dear My Boyfriend Luke Bryan,  'Scuze Me?  What is this that I somehow just heard about you coming back to see me in January?     And to my own city this time?   Yes, please.

Dear Cool Girl at Local Boutique,  I was #totesjelly of your accent.  Was that Australian?   AND your outfit.  And I'm real sorry that I stared at you for too long but I really needed to check you out.   How'd you get so cool?   Probably by NOT hashtagging "totesjelly" to start with.

Dear #Insta,  This advertising/ sponsored posts thing that you are talking about is really not good.  Don't sell out, #Insta. Don't do it.  I've had nothing but good to say about you to basically everyone I know.  So be a lamb and please don't do this to me.

Dear Peanut Butter,  We are honest to God on the verge of a temporary breakup.  No one can seem to control themselves up in here when you are around and it's legit outta hand.      However, a life without peanut butter just really isn't a life worth living.   It's just not.  Such a dilemma.  

Dear Friends,   Thanks so much for making me laugh 'errr day.  I really don't know how I would survive without your ridiculousness.    Honestly.    #lylas

Dear 15 Items or Less Cashier,    Thanks for chuckling and not making me move my loot when I said that my protein bars should count as "one item" since usually they come in a box.   Oh and I said the same for the yogurt singles.   Pretty sure we both knew there were upwards of 30 items on that belt.   I was scared of you at first but was also in a huge hurry and willing to take a risk.  So yeah, thanks for being cool.

Thursday Thoughts

*Ahh!  What a week.  One of those weeks where I kind of need a short vacation from my life.  Lots of emotions and PMB's and happiness and sadness and craziness and well, I'm a little bit fried.   

*So apparently I was supposed to be collecting Box Tops.   And apparently, every other mom in America knew this.   Except for me.   Soooo tonight at 7 year olds Halloween event at school, the kids were supposed to vote on their favorite carved pumpkin and the "ballots" were these little said Box Tops.  Meaning whichever pumpkin got the most Box Tops won.   Box Tops that their mother's had lovingly been collecting for what appeared to be years.      I happened to read the email about tonight about 30 minutes before we were due to leave.  I launched a quick investigation to find that we probably shouldn't show up Box Topless just in case this was a big deal or something.  I scour the shelves of my pantry to find a total of  4 sad Box Tops on random cereal boxes.    And somehow we were lucky enough to get sandwiched in between the kids with a zillion "ballots."  Mine had 4.   Pretty sure she hates me.   #MOTY

*I am pretty much suddenly dying to see the Conjuring.  I hear it's terrifyingly scary and really, what's better than that the week before Halloween!?  And is it really a true story???  Cuz if it is, that makes my belly hurt even more!

* I kinda legit can't get over Lady Gaga's latest get up.   And I kinda legit can't resist posting a pic.


HA! I mean, what?!  I know it's all part of her deal but seriously.....  This is #ridic, yet #hilar.   And I somehow can't get enough.

*#Runnerdog is getting his wig busted big time tomorrow and I'm already sad.   Why oh why do I love that #runnerdog with a giant 'fro?   Now granted, he can barely see, but dang he looks cute.

*I'm growing increasingly concerned about the weekend football forecast.   We've got a night game up in here and 30's and low 40's in the evening is really gonna present some problems for me.   Jym Ganahl, this is not acceptable.  It's just not.   Could you be a lamb and fix this?

* Pretty sure I'm not gonna know what to do with myself without a long run on the Saturday morning agenda.   I can't live like this.   Must sign up for something immediately.

*Have I told you guys about the time I accidentally let an old co-worker believe that 7 year olds name was Olivia?  For months.     Well, this all began right after I returned from maternity leave and I somehow couldn't bring myself to correct this sweet girl who repeatedly kept asking "How's your baby?  How's Olivia!?"    And then it went on for way too long for me to correct her and well, it  just became too late. Well this is kind of a repeat of that, only now the jokes on me.   Ya see, a sweet little elderly-ish co worker that I don't see all that regularly is very confidently calling me Jessica.  I can't bring myself to correct her.    And now it's becoming too late again.  What's wrong with me?  Certainly this is not normal.  In her defense, I can "kind of" understand the confusion.  Jennifer...Jessica...We're all a product of the '70's.

What I Ate Wednesday!!!

As always,  my Iphone pics of my food are typically terrible.  And as always, no aspirations to become a food blogger here so as always, #donthateme,iloveyou.

Spark/ Rehydrate/ Catalyst at 5 a.m.   

15 min. warm up on the ArcTrainer, followed by an hour of hot power yoga.  My shoulders are already barking as a result of the 5 zillion chaturanga's that went down.   Sweet Francis.

If you follow me on the #Insta, you know it was legit snowing when I left the gym.  Wahhhh!   All I could think about was my fabulous hot apple/ peanut butter oatmeal I was gonna kill when I got home.

1 packet of Oat Fit Cinnamon oatmeal.   1/2 chopped Honeycrisp apple ($$$$), and a cinnamon sprinkle or two.  I ate the other half of the Honeycrisp while this cooked.  Primarily because I can't be wasting million dollar apple halves.    I ended up microwaving this for about 90 seconds, added more cinnamon, as usual, and topped with a blob of nati peanut butter.  Oh Mylanta.  Perfect breakfy for this morning.

I also had 3 Omegaplex and a Biocharge.  Loving this combo for my decrepit knees, amongst other things. 

I then had one more dip in the PB jar.   Primarily because I can't help it.  Not because I was hungry.

Late morning, I had one of my Simple Truth bars.   Still loving these.

And a late lunch, which WASN'T Schwarma.  I know!  However, it was a Greek chicken salad.  Does anyone else think I am legit incapable of going one day without a Greek or Mexican food item?  I'm really starting to wonder.

I've always loved this salad from Greek Express.  Super easy and quick in a pinch.

And an unpictured Spark and 3 more Catalyst.

Around 4:30, I busted out my favorite Muscle Gain/ Almond Milk shake.  With a side of #Runnderdog's tail.  

And dinner.   It's not pretty but it was delish!  And dancing in Srihracha, which is always what I'm going for.  

Caramelized Onion Pork Chops
Cauliflower Mash
Baked Sweet Potato

3 more Omegaplex

For the pork chops, I used this super easy recipe.    Not bad.   I didn't love it but I would definitely eat it again.  For 5 minutes of prep time, I'll take it.

I kind of made up the mash on the fly.   I basically steamed the cauliflower for about 10 minutes in a steamer and boiling pan of water.   I removed from steam, drained water, and added almond milk, a little sour cream, parsley, chives, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper.   I blended on high with the mixer and it came out with texture and not completely creamy, which is exactly what I was going for.  This was definitely the star of dinner.    Delish.

And of course, the standard baked sweet potato, which I promptly dip every bite into this pool of Sirahcha.   It's the right thing to do.

I will also take Nighttime Recovery and another Rehydrate before bed as a result of all of my shenanigans lately.   Just haven't made it far enough for a pic.

  • So What if I'm already having MAJOR post marathon blues!?   I know.  This is shocking to NO ONE, but dang, I always think I'm gonna beat these PMB's.  Yeah, no.     I just need a goal to work towards and right now I've got nothin' and it's kind of a bummer.   BUT some exciting stuff is on the horizon, so as always, don't cry for me, Argentina.

  • So What if I've had a sore throat since Sunday night and I've secretly been super excited to have a legit reason to eat cherry Luden's??  You know the one's I'm talking about.  That delicious cherry candy that is allegedly a cough drop.  Yeah, you're real powerful in curing my ailments, cherry Luden.  But man, you're delicious. 

  • So What if this  Lulu It Takes Two wrap/ sweater/ fabulous warm thingy is gonna be the death of me?!   I believe this was released in 2012 and  Nikki, this is obvi all your fault.   I've been stalking the interwebs and it's nowhere.  Which obvi makes me want it more.

  • So What if Blurred Lines has officially been replaced?  Rihanna's (feat Nick G) new Stay remix takes the top spot of songs that make me immediately want to break it down. Oh. Em. Gee.  Obsessed.     Second place....  Eminem's Survival.   I mean...  Honestly.    Honorable Mention...  Kid Cudi's Erase Me.  

  • So What if I'm already making my Christmas list and it contains nothing but nut products, running related items, and gambling money!?   Is that bad???

  • So What if I really want Schwarma today but really feel bad about subjecting you guys to another Schwarma salad for WIAW???   I mean, seriously.   #firstworldproblems

  • So What if I legit can't stop stalking fall boots!?  They're fabulous and they're everywhere I need one of each.  Yes, please.    Especially booties.   However, I won't turn my nose up at a good riding boot either.   But yes, I'm obsessed and right now boots make me happy, happy, happy.

2013 Columbus Marathon Recap

If you've been following the bloggy for awhile, you know that I love this race.

The first thing I need to share with you guys is quite comical.  So my dear running friends' little girls decided to make some motivational running signs for us.   They sit down at the computer and start googling.   Just a little later, they present their mother with this...

These poor, innocent children still don't know what this really means but the sign reads "If a Marathon was Easy, it would be called your Mother!" 

Ummm, we all kinda died.   

Sunday morning was BRISK!  Despite having a throw away sweatshirt and a space blanket, it was downright frigid at the start line.   Wowers.   We lined up around 7 in a very packed corral B.     The only good thing about this type of crowd was the body heat radiating off of everyone.    The wind was whipping and the human sardines were the only thing that made things bearable.

After the  National Anthem, the traditional ACDC Thunderstruck at the start line, fireworks, an official countdown, we were off.    It took about 5 minutes to cross the start line but fortunately I was far enough in the front of corral B that I didn't have to deal  some of the normal congestion as some of my friends did, who got stuck further in the back.   I got way lucky.

The first 5 miles are always somewhat congested with everyone finding their groove, people throwing off their throwaway shirts, gloves, etc.   It's just kind of chaotic.   It always is.    

Love running through Bexley.  Great crowd support and lots of fun live music.

So around this time, I found this man.

Right?   And he was just an awesome, barefoot running hippie kinda guy.  Who happened to be running pretty much the exact pace.   Who then proceeded to pace me for  the next 10 miles.    But he was barefoot and I wasn't.   How he was running 8:30's like this is beyond me.   But it was pretty fly.

I saw so many familiar faces out there cheering me on!  And  thanks so much for that.   The bottom line is, as awesome and exciting as it is, spectating a marathon is a lot of work for the spectator. So the fact that so many of you bundled up and came down to support me and the other runners, just warms my heart.

And this is where the halfers split off and quite frankly, this is when the shiz gets real.    So my half split was around 1:54, I believe.     At this point, I knew if I could hang on to anything consistently less than  8:45's, a sub 4 would be mine.   However, I still had a whole 13.1 to run and we all know that things can turn into a nightmare in literally 2 minutes during a marathon and the fact that I had to hold this for another 13.1 was a little overwhelming.

Now granted, we were in and out of the stadium here so lots of inclines and declines.

And the hubs, who is basically my bar back in all of these here running shenans.    The bottom line is, my crazy running is all he has ever really known.  But you throw in two kids and it takes on a different perspective.  However, I will say, he has never once complained about my training, the races that I sign up for that he basically finds out about on the FB, my early Saturday morning training runs in which I'm gone for hours on end.   He's just majorly supportive of my crazy grand plans and for that, I'm beyond grateful.

And the one thing I'm super sad about is that my running mama's and I got NO pictures together!   We all ran separately and at different paces and our typical group picture just never happened!   And for that I'm majorly bummed.

However,  3 1/2 year old's "Run Mommy Run" shirt kinda made up for it.

And this medal may be my favorite.   For obvious reasons.

And it's front and center, where it belongs.
